You need to know the internal IP Address of your computer if you want to connect to it remotely from other computers (or iPhones) on the same network. If you need to connect to your IP Camera Recorder from outside of your home network, you need to find the external address of your Mac as explained at How to access IP Camera Recorder from outside of your home network ?

Note: if you use IP Camera Cloud - you do not need to find either of the addresses. IP Camera Cloud comes with remote access apps that automatically connect to your servers. See How to setup IP Camera Cloud on Mac?

If you use IP Camera Recorder and want to connect to it from other computers (iPhones) on the same network, find its internal IP Address as follows:

1. On your Mac: start Launchpad and open System Preferences item

2. Find Network item

3. The internal address of your Mac will be typically shown in the status message: Wi-Fi is connected to [Network Name] and has the IP address 10.0.1.33

4. Enable remote access in IP Camera Recorder. See How to enable Remote Access

Use this address to connect to your IP Camera Recorder remotely. For additional info see: How to connect to IP Camera Recorder remotely?
